Unvented

A typical unvented system can provide higher flow rates and a balance in water pressure between hot and cold taps and typical mixer type shower units.

Unvented cylinders does not require a cold water storage tank, which usually is placed in an exposed loft space, removing the risk of burst pipes in the cold weather. The installation of an unvented hot-water cylinder must be carried out by a properly qualified installer. A survey must be undertaken on the property before proceeding with this type of installation. Manufactures also recommended that these hot water tanks be serviced every 12 months.

IJJ Services are fully trained and regulated to undertake the survey, installation and servicing of this type of hot water heating system. An unvented hot water cylinder requires a high cold water pressure and flow rate and the cylinder must be installed in the correct location.
